According to leading epilepsy experts, 1 in 26 people will develop epilepsy in their lifetime. The chances are that at some point in your life you will experience a person having a seizure. Do you know what to do if someone has a seizure?

Through our ten member organizations, Epilepsy Alliance America offers a comprehensive network of Seizure First Aid & Training programs and resources for all audiences including programs that seek to educate and train school staff, nurses, teachers, support staff, students of all ages, first responders and community organizations how to recognize and respond to seizures.

Want to be become a Seizure Smart School?

Epilepsy Alliance America will be happy to provide this education through our members for schools who educate all faculty members and all students as Seizure Smart Schools. Seizure Smart status lasts for a full academic year and can be easily renewed the following year by having a refresher presentation for staff and educating new incoming students.
