Keeney Family attends Epilepsy Awareness Day at Disneyland Resort, thanks to Epilepsy Alliance America
In August, 2022, the Seizure Rescue story of Lori Keeney and Gavin Keeney from Oklahoma went ‘viral’. Gavin, 10, saved his mother, Lori, who had a seizure in their swimming pool. The video was captured on a home-security camera.
Epilepsy Alliance America Board members saw the story and were inspired to reach out to Lori and Gavin.
Epilepsy Alliance America provided the funding for Lori, Gavin, and Lori’s father to attend Epilepsy Awareness Day at the Disneyland Resort on October 31-November 2, 2022.
Lori said of the experience: “Man, What a Life Changing experience for me and my family! We had the most magical time. You truly did make this family’s dreams come true. Never in a million years would we have been able to go to something so amzaing without your support. I talked to so many people and learned such valuable information. I was truly inspired and want to play a part.”
