Spring 2019
Epilepsy Alliance America Board members meet in-person in Miami, Florida to create a strategic plan for 2019-2020 for Epilepsy Alliance America.

Epilepsy Alliance America attends Epilepsy Awareness Day at Disneyland for the first time, presenting regarding its mission, vision and services and programs provided by its member organizations.

Epilepsy Alliance America attends American Epilepsy Society meeting in Baltimore, MD

Jeff Sinsebox is elected Board Chair of Epilepsy Alliance America.
2021
January 2021
Epilepsy Alliance America distributes 13,000 Seizure First Aid in the Age of COVID posters to schools across the United States as children return to in-school learning.
Spring 2021
Epilepsy Alliance America welcomed its first new three member organizations to the collaborative: Epilepsy Advocacy Network, Valley Children’s Healhcare – Epilepsy Support Program and South Carolina Advocates for Epilepsy (S.A.F.E.).

Epilepsy Alliance America hires Lisa Gallipoli as Chief Operating Officer and the first full-time staff person of the organization.
November 2021
Epilepsy Alliance America recognizes November, National Epilepsy Awareness Month, with the theme, Stronger Together. Epilepsy Alliance America launches monthly eNewsletter and Seizure ID program.
December 2021
Epilepsy Alliance America launches its OnDemand Seizure Recognition and First Aid Training for School Personnel.

January 2022
Epilepsy Alliance America and member organization, Valley Children’s Healthcare, launch Rescue Medication Administration Video series, available in both English and Spanish.
September 2022
By September 2022, Epilepsy Alliance America had added six new member organizations to its roster, bringing the total number of organizations to seventeen. In 2022 the following organizations joined: JoshProvides, Sofie’s Journey, The Dravet Syndrome Foundation, Epilepsy Services Foundation, The LGS Foundation and Epilepsy Support Network of Orange County.
November 2022
Epilepsy Alliance America attends Epilepsy Awareness Day at Disneyland as an anchor vendor in the Expo, attending with more than 1,600 people with epilepsy and 3,400 caregivers and vendors. Epilepsy Alliance America sponsored the attendance of the Keeney family to attend the event. Attendance at Epilepsy Awareness Day at Disneyland kicked off November, National Epilepsy Awareness Month, which Epilepsy Alliance America recognized with the 2022 theme: Stronger Together: Connecting Epilepsy Communities.

Epilepsy Alliance America’s National Professional Advisory Committee holds its first in-person meeting at the American Epilepsy Society meeting in Nashville, TN.
Epilepsy Alliance America Board elects Peggy Beem Jelley as the Board Chair, following the end of the term of Jeff Sinsebox.

Epilepsy Alliance America becomes the Managing Organization of the Seizure Action Plan Coalition.
Epilepsy Alliance America recognizes #1in26 day across its network of seventeen member organizations.
April 2023
Epilepsy Alliance America Board of Directors meets in Charlotte, North Carolina for a 2 day in-person strategy meeting.
June 2023
Epilepsy Alliance America awards the Lorna Myers PNES Scholarship to nine students. This brings the total awarded to students with PNES to more than $26,000 since 2020.

Epilepsy Alliance America recognizes the Five Year Anniversary of its incorporation.

September 2023
Epilepsy Alliance America received a CDC Cooperative grant. Starting in September 2023 and ending in September 2028, Epilepsy Alliance America will be managing a Learning Collaborative for other CDC Component 1 grantees to identify best practices for health care providers / epilepsy centers to use to systematically encourage individuals to participate in self-management programs.

Epilepsy Alliance America held its first Member Organization Meeting in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Epilepsy Alliance America hires its second full-time staff person, Cassie Corral, as Community Engagement Manager.

Epilepsy Alliance America exhibits at the National Association of School Nurse (NASN) Annual Meeting Chicago, Illinois, demonstrating its commitment to the invaluable role school nurses play in keeping children seizure safe at school.
