Epilepsy Alliance America is part of the North America Region of the International Bureau for Epilepsy. Along with the other members of the North America Region, we are helping to recruit CITIZEN JOURNALISTS to amplify the voices of experience for Epilepsy Awareness.
JOIN THE CITIZEN JOURNALISM TEAM
We are pleased to invite individuals with lived experiences of epilepsy to become members of our Citizen Journalism Team in the North America Region.
About The Role
Citizen Journalists may contribute in various ways, including:
- Sharing their personal epilepsy journey or collecting stories from others in their community.
- Crafting engaging posts, articles, or videos for dissemination on social media platforms.
- Sharing educational content about epilepsy, its challenges, and available resources.
- Attending and covering local events related to epilepsy awareness, providing highlights and personal experiences.
- Conducting interviews with healthcare professionals, researchers, or advocates in the epilepsy field.
- Being interviewed by journalists.
- Developing toolkit materials, including graphic design and translation.
